Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers
Should I schedule a floor inspection?
Who hires an Independent Floor Inspector?
How long does a floor inspection take?
Do I need to put down painter's tape to show you all the affected spots?
Not necessary! Our Floor Inspection Kit includes large colorful arrows that we can put down together to show where the problem spots are located – and they show up much better in photos than the painter’s tape, too.
If you already have the tape down from a previous visit, and want to keep it there, that’s fine … but if it’s driving you crazy to see all the tape on the floor, please go ahead and remove it!
How soon will I get the report?
The comprehensive inspection report is usually delivered to the commissioning party within three business days.
Occasionally, due to travel schedules or other external circumstances, the turnaround might take a little longer, but if that is the case the commissioning party will be promptly notified of the expected completion date.
Why can't you tell me what the problem is while you're at my house?
The floor inspection visit is an intensive information-gathering session, documenting lots of measurements, readings, and photographs in a short period of time.
In order to properly interpret and analyze the data, and form well-founded conclusions, the information needs to be sorted and pieced together, then compared with the product specifications and industry standards, to allow for a complete understanding of the interplay of the various observations.
A comprehensive Inspection Report, with detailed – and organized – photographs, measurements, analysis and conclusion, will be completed and submitted to the commissioning party within five business days of the inspection visit.
