Providing a Clear, Unbiased Diagnosis
When a floor fails, understanding the cause is a critical step for anyone considering replacement – many different factors can affect a floor’s performance. In some cases, there are site issues that need remediation (such as moisture, or subfloor issues), without which, any replacement job is likely to fail in a similar manner. Other times, usage patterns (pets, wheelchairs, etc) might indicate that a different type of product is a better fit for your space.
Additionally, when filing a claim under a builder or manufacturer’s warranty, a professionally-prepared report describing the issues and identifying the underlying causes can be a useful negotiation tool. And some people just want the peace of mind that comes with understanding what is happening beneath their feet.
